Convent School Life
After a restful holiday, we are glad to be back and are working hard in preparation for the upcoming exams. As passionate learners we are going to work hard under the guidance of our dedicated teachers. As usual we are encouraging everyone to uphold and maintain the high standards on which the school puts high emphasis.
Summer is here and we would like to encourage you to purchase school hats from the school shop, keep well hydrated and remember that cleanliness is next to Godliness. Blazers must be worn to Assemblies every Wednesday and Friday. Keep your hair neat and tidy at all times.
We must remind you that it is compulsory to do at least an hour of sport each week and there are many sports to choose from: basketball, squash, tennis, waterpolo, swimming, soccer, volleyball, diving and netball. It is healthy and refreshing for us all to release steam on the field and with such a variety, everyone is catered for.
This term there are some exciting fixtures lined up. Our 1st team basketball is participating in the annual Top Schools Tournament where they will compete against other provinces. In tennis the Melbury Cup takes place and Convent will be well represented by the 1st team. The swimming team has many events scheduled and we urge you to support them. When our sport teams take part in sporting activities and competitions they represent the entire school body, so it is only fitting for us to support them in prayer and by attending fixtures in Bulawayo.
This term is set to be a busy one with many sport fixtures and examinations. But with God’s grace, all is possible. Set yourself goals then aim to achieve them, let hard work be your guide and the end result your motivation. We look forward to working well together this term.
